Avignon, Auberge de Cassagne & Spa*****

Former Provencal country house built in 1850 on the lands of the domain belonging to the castle of Cassagne, the current Auberge de Cassagne & Spa became a small hotel restaurant with six rooms in 1969. The hotel is expanding rapidly and the restaurant is awarded one star in the Michelin Guide in 1985. The hotel was transformed over the years for now 43 rooms including 7 Suites furnished and completed by new buildings which harmoniously surround a charming flowery inner courtyard extended by a large green park.
Rooms and suites are designed to make your stay unforgettable and you will need this rest after a good day at golf or after having strolled the streets of Avignon and its majestic Palais des Papes, where brewed the most dramatic hours of European politics.
In the restaurant, the Chef, Philippe Boucher, concocts a cuisine respectful of a revisited Provencal tradition, the products borrow their richness from the terroir.
