It is in 1971 that Jacques Laffite, famous Formule 1 race driver, decides to build his golf with his image, i.e. sporting and competitive. Built within a Country Club proposing sports and a swimming pool, the “Grands Cru” golf course of Norges Dijon Bourgogne Country Club is the example with holes rather technical. The decoration is planted with a wall of barrels at the beginning of the n°1, here each hole is named on a famous vineyard. Do not accelerate your game with an aim of going to visit these good cellars, rather concentrate because here is the golf challenge and a turn badly negotiated may be fatal ! Michael Fenn, the architect, understood it, no need to add too much obstacles, only one water hazard on the course. For the difficulty, there are the trees and greens perfectly defended as with the n°9, a true fortress, for a game requiring addresses and smoothness. Is this the reason for which this hole is called Santenay, a wine of character with an intense and major attack? … A delicate choice of clubs to negotiate the curves and straight lines, narrow as at the n°3, a long par5; the n°6, a par4 in left dog-leg requiring to play the departure with an iron to prepare the following stroke… Finally the n°18, Aloxe Corton, a vigorous and generous, robust par5 without losing its distinction, race and fruity!
