Avignon, La Magnaneraie****

In the 16th century, at the gates of the Cité des Papes, there was already a country house called "La Ripaille". It was the meeting place for the witty people of Villeneuve lez Avignon. There, in 1703, a gentleman of Aramon, Monsieur DE POSQUIERES, came to live in Villeneuve and, no doubt to console himself for the death of his wife, decided to institute a new order which he called "The Order. of the drink of close observance ”.
This place then became a silkworm farm, a place of sericiculture, that is to say the breeding of silkworms ...
It was in 2000 that the Najeti Group took over this pretty charming stone house, shaded terrace with plane trees… They have transformed it with respect for authenticity and good taste to offer their guests an intimate, warm and refined setting.
