Near Lille, in northern France, the Golf d'Arras is in the "green belt" that goes into the Arras Artois Capital. We are just at a "drive" of the city center and her sumptuous squares. A driver that you should use wisely, this is the least we can say, as water marshes and rivers delights to complicate the task of the player on a good half of the holes, including the first. No time to get into shape slowly: SHE is there and suffers no error. Only on "the hill" - and again, the return - we can try to unleash its power to the possible detriment of accuracy, especially No12 (Par4), No13 (a Par5 pleasing to the eye and to the game), No15, 16 and 17. But there always comes back at the edge of the marsh that we finally left at ... 19th hole. The 18th, in fact, a Par5, the longest of the course requires to cross the Echeu, stream, then the Scarpe, before attempting to reach the green, nestled behind the pond. Nobody is Montgomerie and Woosnam who, during a skingame even present in our memories, in 1995, arrived in two on the fore green with two "driver" shots, the second crossing all blithely these barriers.
