Détruit pendant les guerres de vendées au 18è siécle, le village de Clisson, dont les origines remontent au 13è siècle, renaît grâce aux frères Cacault qui, avec le sculpteur Lemot, reconstruisent patiemment la ville mais dans un tout autre style. Venant d'Italie, ils ont choisi le style Toscan avec tuiles arrondies, briques minces, baies en arc en plein cintre tant pour les habitations que pour les manufactures.Avec ses jardins ombragés, cette architecture transporte le visiteur hors du temps... Visiter le château médieval, la Garenne Lemot et la Garenne Valentin.
Une halte de découverte du fameux vignoble de Muscadet s'imposera aussi avec un passage incontournable à la "Cave des muscadet" qui regroupe 28 vignerons et où vous pourrez découvrir d'excellents crus...
