Grasse, Le Château de Taulane****

Le Château de Taulane is on a domain of 340ha between Côte d'Azur(French Riviera) and Verdon Gorge on the famous Road Napoleon. The castle was built in 1769 by Louis Auguste de Lyle, Seigneur de Taulane, with Scottish origin. The story says that, to build the castle, he used the convicts of whom he was given custody.
Transformed into a magnificent Hotel Resort, the Château de Taulane welcomes today the " convicts of golf " in a magnificent environment in particular the signed by Gary Player golf course.
28 rooms are settled in the castle. With their red floor-tiles on the ground, their painted furniture and cotton fabrics of Souleïado, they get a pleasant feeling of authenticity and charm. Decoration which we find also in the other rooms situated in the Manor house contigüe.
After a good day of golf, you will take advantage of the gigantic internal swimming pool surrounded with plate glass windows in full round arch and with a glass roof, before having dinner to the gourmet restaurant " La Marquise de Lisle ".
