Situated a few kilometers away from Aix-en-Provence, the golf Club of Aix-Marseille is the initiative of 5 golfers from Marseille in 1935.
The golf is at first a 9 holes course on a domain of 55 hectare and placed on the municipality of Milles. The inauguration of the Golf Club of Aix-Marseille is in 1937 and an extension at 13 holes is scheduled for summer, 1939.
It is only in 1957 when the golf is 18 holes. Since 1975, the plan of the course remained more or less identical : numerous departures and greens were rebuid, mounds fitted out by part and others of some fairways. It is a flat golf in the pure tradition but it will not be passive an you will have to take care of your strokes… The Club receives regularly the most prestigious regional and national competitions what explains its level of high game.
