Created in 1856 by Scottish officers fascinated by this sport, Pau Golf Club is the oldest course of continental Europe and one of the oldest golf of the world. Both officers, at the origin of this golf, never parted from their equipments of golf and looked for all the opportunities to practise their favorite sport. During their walks, they were struck by the beauty of the plain of Billère and the surrounding landscape. They thus thought that such a decoration admirably entered into the spirit of the game of golf.
The Club-House is moreover a real museum dedicated to the rich history of the club. Situated at the heart of the city from Pau to Aquitaine, this 18 holes course is flat but technical and constitutes a very beautiful golfique walk.
