The Golf des Aisses is located in La Ferte St Aubin south of Orleans. Sologne is a natural area of 5.000km2 located along the Cher and Loiret. Very swampy, she was drained by order of Napoleon III, but still uncultivable, it became a magnificent reserve for hunting and fishing with its many ponds and large forests. The golf course was set in a panoramic 275ha property by Tayo group in 1980 but stopped work after building this "American" course at great expense. The architect Hawtree transform the layout of the 27 holes into a heathland style course filled with heather. The greens are redesigned and replanted with stronger grass and finally reopened in 2012. Very long, it contains more than 100 bunkers strategically placed ... and is maintained to the championship standards. No need to talk about artificial difficulties of the course of Aisses, they are simply natural except two or three holes with large ponds of water.
