It is in an idyllic setting, surrounded by ancient oaks, beeches, poplars that stretches the Kempferhof Golf south of Strasbourg, on the Rhine. All the ingredients are there: mounds at the edge of the fairways, no less than 13 water hazards, large greens with many slopes, huge bunkers and perfect maintenance. Bob von Haage, American architect, designed this 18 holes golf course opened in 1990. It did not work on the length of the holes but the accuracy, including the arrival of drives and approaches to the greens. A difficult course which is more aimed at good players or those who are looking for a true golfing challenge.
The 19th hole is an impressive space, a beautiful XIXè hunting lodge that serves also as a hotel.
